All RPG game systems require the participation of a Game Master who will create the game environment and act as an intermediary between the players. The Game Master will field a story goal for the players to fulfill through the actions of their in-game characters. It involves interaction with NPCs (non-player characters), other occupants of the game world (which is commonly played by the Game Master), puzzle-solving, PC Video Games and negotiations.
